The bengali traditional boiled pithe with a twist of diya shape

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup rice flour 1/4 cup
  2. Maida 1
  3. tbsp oil
  4. Pinch of salt
  5. Hot water as per requirement
  6. Making of salte ( wick / teeli)
  7. Grated coconut 1 cup
  8. Sugar 1/2 cup
  9. Diya oil :
  10. Nolen gud 1/2 cup
  11. Water 1/4 th cup

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingradiants and make a hard dough with hot water and keep aside for 10 minutes. Make deep (diya) shape pithe and pour into boiling water ( very carefully) boil for 5 minutes . Remove from the water and keep on kitchen towel for absorb extra water. Deep is ready
  2. Mix all the ingradiants and cook till coconut mixture becomes dry and sticky. Make salte ( wick) after coconut mixture become little cool. Set in rice flour deep like as we prepare for normal Diya.
  3. Making of oil Take 1/2 cup nolen ( made of date nectar) gud or normal gud. Add 1/4 Water cup and heat to boil . Cook for 5 minutes .Gud ( Oil ) is ready .Pour in the DIYA and Serve.
