Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Egg 3
  2. Oil 4 Tsp
  3. Bay leaf 1
  4. Cinnamon 1 inch stick
  5. Cardamom 2
  6. Star anise 1
  7. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  8. Onion 1 large finely chopped
  9. Green chilly 2 slit
  10. Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  11. Tomato 1 finely chopped
  12. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  13. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  14. Red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  15. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  16. Fennel powder 1/2 tsp
  17. Salt to taste
  18. few chopped coriander leaves
  19. To Grind:
  20. Coconut 1/4 cup
  21. Poppy seeds 3-4 tsp or you can use 6-7 cashewnuts

Instructions

  1. Take water in a pan, add the eggs and boil till it is hard boiled which might take around 10 mins. Remove the shell and keep side.
  2. Grind the coconut and the poppy seeds by adding little water to a smooth paste. Keep aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan.
  4. Add the whole spices and saute until they begin to crackle.
  5. Add onions and fry until golden.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste and fry until the raw smell vanishes.
  7. Add tomatoes and fry till it turns mushy.
  8. Add the spice powders, Salt and fry until fragrant.
  9. Add coconut poppy seeds paste and fry for 2-3 mins.
  10. Add eggs and fry for a while. Now add water just enough to cover the eggs partially.
  11. Bring to boil and switch off when the gravy reaches a desired consistency.
  12. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
