It's a very delicious, authentic Bengali dish which can be served with roti, prantha or naan.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Egg...3
  2. Onion...2
  3. Ginger paste...1/2tspn
  4. Garlic...4
  5. Green chilli...4
  6. Coconut powder...2tspn
  7. Poppy seeds...2tspn
  8. Turmeric powder...1tspn
  9. Red chilli powder...1/2tspn
  10. Cinnamon stick...1/2"
  11. Green cardamom...1
  12. Bay leaf...1
  13. Dry red chilli...1
  14. Garam masala...1/2 tspn
  15. Coriander leaves
  16. Sugar...1/4teaspn

Instructions

  1. Mix eggs, turmeric powder, red chilli powder ,salt & coriander leaves.
  2. Grease a tiffin box & pour the mixture in it.
  3. Now boil water in a deep pan & put the covered tiffin box in it.Cover the pan with lid.Boil it for 15 minutes in low flame.
  4. After 15 minutes switch off the flame, make it cool for few minutes & then open the tiffin box.
  5. Cut the steamed eggs into pieces.
  6. Heat 1tspn oil, fry bay leaf, dry red chilli, cinnamon stick & cardamom for few seconds.
  7. Add onion paste.
  8. Ginger paste.
  9. Make a paste of coconut powder, poppy seeds ,green chilli & mix it with the mixture.
  10. Add all spices.Mix it well & cook it for few minutes.After 5 to 10 minutes, add some water & let it boil.
  11. Then add some boiled potato & steamed egg pieces.Potatoes are optional.Cover it & cook it for 10 minutes.
  12. Add garam masala & chopped coriander leaves .Adjust salt, sugar & gravy & switch off the flame.
  13. Serve it with any Indian bread.
