Soak black chana overnight or in hot water for 4-5 hours.
Pressure cook for 10-15 minutes.
Take a kadai. Heat oil. Add mustard. When mustard crackles, add red chilli, boiled chana and salt.
Add little water and bring to boil. Cook covered in a low flame.
Once the chana is cooked and blends with other ingredients. Switch off the flame.
Sprinkle asafoetida powder and cover the lid for 2 minutes to retain the aroma.
Garnish with coriander leaves and grated coconut.
SERVING: 4
