ABOUT Maize flour (Makki ki) Poori RECIPE

Makka ki poori is a great and wonderful deep fried Indian bread which can be served with almost any sabzi. It is very popular bread as everyone loves eating them.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maize flour 1 cup
  2. Wheat flour 1 cup
  3. Oil 2 tsp
  4. Carom seeds 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt 1/2 tsp or as per taste
  6. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Take maize flour and add wheat flour, half a tsp salt, half a tsp carom seeds, 2 tsp oil. Add water in small portions and knead a stiff and a tight dough, let it rest for 15- 20 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough and roll each ball into a poori.
  3. Heat some oil in a wok and slide the rolled poori into it. Frying until golden brown in color from both sides.
  4. Drain out the fried pooris on paper kitchen towels.
  5. Serve this super delicious and mouth drooling maize flour poori piping hot with any sabzi.
