Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. A bunch of coriander leaves finely chopped
  2. 4-5 green chillies finely chopped
  3. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  4. 2 tbsp gram flour, roasted
  5. 2 1/2 cup grated dry coconut
  6. 1 cup groundnuts roasted
  7. Jaggery as per required sweetness
  8. salt as per taste
  9. Dry mango powder as per taste
  10. For the Dough :
  11. 3 tsp Ghee
  12. 2 cup maida
  13. 1/2 cup semolina (rawa)
  14. 1/2 cup gram flour
  15. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a deep bottom pan heat some oil, add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Add green chillies, saute it and add poppy seeds then chopped coriander, saute it for a minute. Add salt, jaggery and dry mango powder. Mix well.
  2. Add grated coconut and roasted ground groundnuts, saute it and mix well. Add roasted gram flour (besan), mix well and saute for a minute. Remove from the flame.
  3. For the dough, mix maida, semolina and gram flour (besan). Add two 3 spoons of ghee, combine all together with the help of water and make a dough. Keep aside for 5 minutes.
  4. Divide it in parts and make round ball. Roll it out with a rolling pin. Now spread filling in a centre and make parcels.
  5. Now in a deep bottom pan pour oil, allow it to heat. Now put parcels one by one in it to fry first on high flame and then on a low flame till golden brown.
  6. Serve with Maharashtrian kadhi.
