Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/4 cup soaked rice (5-6 hrs)
  2. 1.5 litre milk
  3. 1 cup grated fresh coconut
  4. 1/2 tin condensed milk
  5. 1/4 cup sugar
  6. 1 tbsp roasted dry fruits

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk in a vessel till it forms a little thick consistency. Meanwhile grind the soaked rice in a jar. (It wont come out smooth, but will become so when cooking.)
  2. Add some sugar and condensed milk into the boiling milk and stir it well for 3-4 mins.
  3. Then add the rice paste and freshly grated coconut into the boiling milk and stir it well.
  4. The stirring should be continuous to avoid any lump formation. Now add the roasted dry fruits of your choice to it.
  5. After about 5-7 mins, you will find that the consistency has become thick. Stir and cook for 1-2 mins longer, then your delicious phirni is ready.
  6. You can garnish it with saffron strands and some dry fruits thereafter.
