Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati Rice- 250- gm
  2. Salt- 1- tsp
  3. Sugar- 100- gm
  4. Saffron- 2- pinch
  5. Pista paste- 100- gm
  6. Elachi powder- 1- tsp
  7. Pure ghee- 2- tbsp
  8. Khoya- 50- gm
  9. Milk- 1- c
  10. Green color- 1 - drop

Instructions

  1. Soak the Basmati Rice for 30 min and cook them till they are half done.Strain and set aside.Divide the rice into 3 equal parts
  2. For the Saffron Layer -Soak the Saffron in warm milk and let it get infused.
  3. Heat ghee in a kadai and add the sugar and the Saffron milk amd add one part of rice and let it cook in the liquid till the water evaporates.Set aside
  4. For the Middle white layer - Heat the ghee and add the khoya,sugar amd the milk .Once the khoya melts,add another part of rice and let it cook till the milk evaporates.Set aside.You can add Raisins if you wish.
  5. For the 3rd Green layer - Heat ghee and add the Pista paste , elachi powder and sugar.Add little milk and add the remaining rice.Add the color too Cook till the liquid evaporates.
  6. Layer the rice one above the other before serving. Garnish with one start Anise
  7. Adjust the sweetness as per your taste.
