Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bottlegourd (lauki) 1/2 kg
  2. Roughly chopped Tomatoes- 3
  3. Ginger - 1/2 inch
  4. Green chillies -3
  5. 3-4 cardamom(elaichi)
  6. 3 laung(lavang)
  7. 5-7 black pepper seeds
  8. 1 tsp fresh cream
  9. 1 bowl curd
  10. 1-2 tsp fennel powder (sauf powder)
  11. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  12. Salt according to taste
  13. 1 tsp coriander powder
  14. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  15. 1 tsp garam masala

Instructions

  1. Cut bottlegourd after washing and deep fry it
  2. After 2-3 minutes take it out on tissue paper
  3. Take tomatoes , ginger and green chillies and make a puree in mixer
  4. Take a pan add oil (2tsp) Add laung , black pepper seeds , cardamom and fennel powder
  5. Add puree of tomatoes to pan
  6. Add curd and constantly keep mixing
  7. Add fresh cream and all spices
  8. Now add fried bottlegourd pieces and mix it well in the gravy
  9. Cover it with lid and cook for 10 minutes on low flame
  10. Serve hot
