ABOUT Sunflower chicken bread RECIPE

This bread is shaped like a sunflower with a filling of chicken and each bite is a delicious one.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For the bread:
  2. Maida 2 cups
  3. Yeast 1tsp
  4. Milk 1/2 cup
  5. Sugar 2 tsp sugar
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Baking powder -a pinch
  8. Oil 1 tbsp
  9. water to knead
  10. For the filling:
  11. Chicken boneless 250grm
  12. Onion medium size 2 finely chopped
  13. Butter 1 tbsp
  14. Oil 1 tbsp
  15. Gingr garlic paste 2 tsp
  16. Red chilly powder,garam masala,blackpepper,turmeric each 1/2 tsp
  17. Coriander and cumin powder each 1 tsp
  18. Green chilly 2 chopped
  19. Lemon juice 1/2
  20. Sesame seeds to garnish
  21. Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  22. 1 egg mixed with 1 tsp milk

Instructions

  1. First add milk, yeast and sugar in a bowl and mix well.cover and keep for 10 mins to activate
  2. In a bowl add maida ,activated yeast,salt,baking powder.oil and mix well with warm water to make a smooth dough
  3. Cover and keep aside for 2 hrs to double in size.
  4. Chicken filling;
  5. Clean and cut the chicken into small cubes
  6. In a pan add butter and oil and add onions saute it
  7. Now add the chicken and cook well
  8. Add the green chillies and all masalas ,salt and saute well
  9. When it is dry add the garam masala and coriander and add lemon juice to taste
  10. Filling is ready
  11. After 2 hours the dough is doubled
  12. Knead it again and make a ball and roll it
  13. Keep the filling in the centre and then in a ring shape
  14. Place another rolled dough upon this
  15. Press the areas where filling is not there and keep a glass on the centre to form round shape
  16. Leaving the glass placed area cut lenghwise all around the dough
  17. Now twist the cut portion one by one so that the filling is turned up
  18. Now put the sesame seeds on the top
  19. Brush with egg on the top to get a nice colour
  20. Now bake this bread in a preheated oven at 180 degree for about 15 mins
  21. Enjoy with ketchup or sauce
