Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Cabbage 1/2 kg
  2. Grated coconut 1 small bowl
  3. Black mustard 1/2 tspn
  4. Curry leaves 1 tspn
  5. Dry red chilli 2
  6. Green Chilli 4
  7. Salt
  8. Sugar 1.5 tspn
  9. Lemon 1/2
  10. Chana dal 1/2 tspn
  11. oil

Instructions

  1. In a pan heat oil and add mustard, curry leaves, chana dal, dry red chilli. When it splutters, add chopped cabbage and salt.
  2. Cover the lid on low flame. At regular intervals, stir the cabbage. Repeat this till the cabbage gets cooked.
  3. Once cooked, add coconut and sugar and stir properly.
  4. Remove from flame and add lemon juice and cover the pan again.
  5. This can be eaten both hot or cold.
