Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 gms Gooseberry / Amla
  2. 250 gms Jaggery
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. 1 tsp Black Salt
  5. 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
  6. 1/4 tsp tsp Red Chili Powder
  7. 1 tsp Garam Masala

Instructions

  1. Take 1/2 cup water in a pressure cook, add amlas into the water till it gets soft and tender. It can take 10-15 mins
  2. Then turn off the flame and strain the amlas in a bowl through a sieve. Let it cool down for a while
  3. Remove the seeds from amla and make fine paste with the help of mixture.
  4. Place this fine amla paste in a pan and turn on the flame. Now add Jaggary, salt, black pepper, cardamom powder, red chili powder and garam masala.
  5. Stir and mix well and cook the mixture on low flame. Keep stirring at regular intervals and cook until it gets dense in consistency.
