Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For koftas - Mutton mince 500 gms
  2. Onion (1 large) + green chilli paste (as per taste)
  3. Gram flour dry roasted 1 tbsp
  4. Fried onions 2 tbsp
  5. Ground cashew nuts 8
  6. Nutmeg powder 1/4 tsp
  7. Mace powder 1/4 tsp
  8. Cumin seeds dry roasted and powdered 1 tsp
  9. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  10. For gravy : Onion paste (2 Large onions)
  11. Curd 1 cup
  12. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  13. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  14. Cumin powder 1tsp
  15. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  16. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  17. Green chillies 3
  18. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  19. Coriander leaves to garnish
  20. Oil or ghee 2/3 cup

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients under koftas together and make lemon size balls and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a vessel
  3. Add onion, ginger, garlic paste and fry on a high flame till golden.
  4. Add yogurt and all the dry masalas, mix well and cook till oil separates.
  5. Add 2-3 cups of water and wait for a boil.
  6. Add koftas and wait for a boil, cover and cook on a medium flame for 12 minutes.
  7. Dish it out and garnish with chillies and coriander leaves.
  8. Serve with rice, roti or naan.
