ABOUT Seyal phulka RECIPE

A traditional breakfast recipe in our house with leftover rotis . Easy to make and very yummy to eat.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 leftover rotis
  2. 1 onion
  3. 1 tomato
  4. 3-4 garlic pods
  5. 1/2 cup chopped capsicum ( green,red,yellow)
  6. 1 tbsp oil
  7. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  8. 8-10 curry leaves
  9. 1-2 green chillies
  10. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  11. Salt,to taste
  12. 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok and add mustard seeds and Curry leaves.
  2. As they splutter,add chopped onion and saute till translucent.
  3. Add chopped garlic and saute for a min .
  4. Add chopped capsicum and saute for 1-2 mins .
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies.
  6. Add salt and turmeric powder and cook till tomato is soft.
  7. Add water and let it come to boil.
  8. Make small pieces of roti and add them to the wok.
  9. Let it simmer on low flame covered till the water is all absorbed well.
  10. Switch off the gas and serve hot.
