Guntha Ponganalu is the traditional breakfast prepared with dosa or idly batter.Very easy to prepare in less time.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Dosa batter 3 cups
  2. Finely Chopped Onions -2
  3. Soaked split bengal gram - 2 spoons
  4. Cumin seeds - 1 spoon
  5. Green chillie paste - 1 spoon
  6. Salt - as per taste
  7. Finely chopped ginger - 2 inch piece
  8. Oil - as required for frying
  9. Water - if required
  10. Curry leaves chopped- 2 spoons
  11. Fresh coriander - 2 spoons

Instructions

  1. Take a big bowl.pour dosa batter into it.
  2. Add chopped onions,ginger,cumin seeds,chopped curry leaves,coriander,soaked chana dal,salt,green chilli paste and mix well.
  3. Check the consistency if it is flowing it is ok or else add little water and combine well.
  4. Now heat the apam pan and add oil into it .Let it heat for 2 minutes.
  5. Add batter into the apam mould.Fill all the moulds and close the lid and cook in low flame.
  6. Once it turns golden colour you can heard the sound and turn the apams near to flame( middle apams)
  7. Later slowly turn remaining apams and let it cook with out closing lid.
  8. Transfer to the plate.Serve hot with gun powder or coconut chutney or any kind of chutneys.
