The name says it all . Indo Chinese Soya Manchurian + French quiche fusion . Was super excited to try this combination , Spicy cheesy flaky quiche for a surprise dinner party

Ingredients Serving: 2
For the quiche dough :
Wheat flour 3 cups
Large egg 1
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Unsalted cold butter 2 cups
Ice cold water 1/4 cup or as required
For the Soya Manchurian ( semi dry ) :
Soya nuggets 30
For marination :
Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoons
Red chilli powder 3 teaspoons
Cumin powder 2 teaspoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
Lime juice 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
All purpose flour 3 tablespoons
Corn flour 2 Tablespoons
Water 2 to 3 tablespoons
For the gravy :
Onions big 3 finely chopped
Green bell pepper 1 medium sized diced
Spring onions white bulbs sliced 2 tablespoons
Green onions chopped fistful
Green chillies 2 slit
Soya sauce 2 tablespoons
Tomato ketchup 1 cup
Vinegar 1 tablespoon
Corn slury 1/2 cup
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Water 1/4 cup
Oil 3 tablespoons
Garlic finely chopped 2 tablespoons
Other :
Cooking oil for frying
Mozzarella cheese 1 cup
Mayonnaise veg 1/4 cup
Italian seasonings as prefered
Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon
Instructions
Make a dough with flour , salt , cold butter , egg and cold water . Add water gradually only if required .
Cling wrap the dough . Refrigerate the dough for 15 minutes or for hours when not in hurry .
Meantime lets prepare soya manchurian .
Soak soya nuggets in hot boiling water for 10 minutes .
Squeeze the nuggets and use the squeezed ones .
Marinate soya with the ingredients lister under marination . Marinate for 10 minutes.
Then shallow fry marinated soya until golden brown.
For the manchurian gravy,
Heat 3 tablespoons oil in a pan .
Saute garlic .
Add onions and saute until translucent.
Add spring onion bulbs sliced , capsicum . Saute until crunchy.
Add salt .
Add tomato ketchup.
Add soy sauce .
Add green chillies slit as preferred.
Add water . Add corn slury .
Add vinegar.
Cook the gravy for 2 minutes.
Add the fried soya nuggets .
Mix and allow nuggets to immerse in Manchurian gravy .
Switch off when semi dry consistency achieved.
Sprinkle spring onions chopped .
Soya manchurian ready.
Preheat cooker / oven in high for 10 minutes.
Roll the chilled dough into a medium thickness sheet .
Take a greased quiche / pie pan.
Place the sheet in the quiche and trim extras that hang out from the tin.
Prick the base with fork .
Put some chickpeas to add weight .
Bake the quiche for 10 minutes.
Remove the weight .
Fill the quiche with soya manchurian.
Then add generous mozzarella cheese .
Add veg mayonnaise as prefered as next layer.
Add italian seasonings.
Add red chilli flakes .
Bake in high for 15 minutes or until quiche looks flaky , golden with light brown crusts . By the time the filling gets baked as well .
Soya Manchurian Quiche is ready.
Slice the hot quiche like pizza and serve.
