ABOUT Makhmali Paneer RECIPE

Paneer Makhmali is a rich and delicious curry, made with Cashews, Almonds and cream.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer - 200 gm(cut in cubes)
  2. Onion- 1 (finely chopped)
  3. Tomato - 1 ( chopped)
  4. Ginger+garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  5. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  6. Oil - 4 tbsp
  7. Cashews - 3 tbsp
  8. Almonds - 3 tbsp
  9. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  10. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  11. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  12. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  13. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  14. Kasoori methi - 1 tbsp
  15. Cream - 1/3 cup
  16. Butter - 1 tbsp
  17. Salt - As required

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a nonstick pan and fry paneer cubes till golden.
  2. Drain and soak in water for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat remaining oil in pan.
  4. Add cumin seeds and let it crackle.
  5. Add onions and cook till golden brown.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  7. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Let it cool.
  9. Blend this mixture and make a fine paste.
  10. Soak Cashews and Almonds in water for 15 mins.
  11. Drain and make it into a smooth puree.
  12. Heat some butter in pan.
  13. Put onion tomato mixture paste and cook for a minute.
  14. Add all spice powder except garam masala and mix well.
  15. Add pureed cashews and almonds and Cook for few minutes.
  16. Add water and fried paneer and simmer for 10 mins.
  17. Add kasuri methi and garam masala powder and mix.
  18. Add cream and mix well.
  19. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  20. Yummy Makhmali paneer is ready.
