ABOUT Britania tea cake RECIPE

Do you all remember the 90's slice cakes famously by the britania brand and also famous because they were so buttery and melt in mouth kind of cakes. How we enjoyed those britania cakes ! This recreation is 100 percent possible at your home. So make it for any party whether kitty, tea party ,kids parties. This is a cake for all. My kids demand it every now and then. Just whisk.Assemble ,combine ,bake. As easy as it is.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 85 grams unsalted butter
  2. 85 grams sugar powder
  3. 80 grams cakeflour
  4. (1 cup maida- 2 tbsps maida + 2 tbsps cornflour = 1 cup cake flour)
  5. 2 Eggs
  6. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  7. half teaspoon mixed fruit essence
  8. 1 tbsp milk
  9. 2 tbsp tutti frutti
  10. A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. first whisk the soft butter and sugar powder till nice fluffy
  2. preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius
  3. add egg one by one first whisk one egg for 30 seconds
  4. now add the second egg and whisk for another 30 seconds
  5. at the fruit essence and whisk
  6. seive the flour with baking powder and salt
  7. add it little by little to the wet mixture .add milk.
  8. fold gently.dust the tutti frutti with flour and fold in
  9. Pour the batter in a baking tray which is 8 × 4 and half inches lined with parchment
  10. bake at 160 degree Celsius for 40 minutes
  11. cool for 5 minutes as it is in the tray
  12. now invert it on the cooling rack
  13. let it cool completely before you slice
  14. Invert back,slice and serve
