Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup besan or gram flour
  2. ½ cup thick curd
  3. ¼ cup water
  4. 1 tsp sugar for batter and 2 tsp for seasoning
  5. 2 tsp oil
  6. ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  7. ¼ tsp salt
  8. 1 tsp plain Eno salt
  9. 1 tsp ginger paste
  10. ¼ tsp red chilly powder
  11. 2-3 tsp coriander chopped (optional )
  12. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  13. 7-8 curry leaves
  14. 3-4 green chillies
  15. 1 cup of water

Instructions

  1. Take a large bowl, add gram flour ,curd and water(take half quantity of total water ) and mix very well , so that no lumps are formed .After mixing it nicely, add ginger paste, salt, turmeric, red chilly powder, coriander leaves and mix well.
  2. Add 1 tsp of sugar and mix well. Now, add 1 tsp of oil to the batter and mix well.
  3. Grease a microwave pan with oil , so that dhokla will not stick to the bottom and sides .Add Eno to the batter , mix it well, batter will look fluffy , transfer the batter immediately to the microwave greased pan.
  4. Put the pan in microwave for 4-41/2 mins in high power.Dhokla will be done.Cut into pieces before doing the seasoning.
  5. Take 1 tsp oil, once the oil is hot ,add 1 tsp mustard seeds, keep the stove on high flame ,after 30 secs ,reduce the flame to medium.
  6. Put curry leaves, green chilly,1 cup of water and 2 tsp sugar .Keep it on medium flame for 2-3 mins .Once done ,spread it all over the Dhokla .They will become fluffy.Dhokla is ready
