ABOUT Galauti kebab RECIPE

One of my maternal grandmother's best dishes is Galauti kebab. Then we eat this kebab with rumali roti but now we have it with lachcha paratha.

Ingredients Serving: 12

  1. Beef or mutton minced meat 1/2 kg
  2. Raw papaya 75-100 gm
  3. Ginger piece 1 1/2"
  4. Garlic piece 10
  5. Cloves 6
  6. Black Cardamoms 2
  7. roasted poppy seeds 2 teaspoon
  8. peppercorns 4
  9. pieces of cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon
  10. dessicated coconut-lightly roasted 2 tablespoon
  11. mace 2 blades
  12. green cardamoms 5
  13. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  14. grated nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon
  15. 1 cup sliced onions-fried brown and crisp in 1/2 cup ghee
  16. finely chopped coriander leaves 1/4 cup
  17. finely chopped green chillies 2 tablespoon
  18. roasted gram flour 3 tablespoon
  19. Salt to taste
  20. finely chopped tomato 1
  21. oil for frying the kebabs

Instructions

  1. Grind all the masala except onion, green chilli, coriander and besan.
  2. Add all the grind masala and grind raw papaya and mix well in mutton mince and keep aside for 2 hours to merinate.
  3. Now mix fried onions, coriander leaves, green chillies, chopped tomato and gram flour in marinated mince.
  4. Mix well and make round shape patties of medium size.
  5. Heat a tawa or pan with oil and fry all the kebabs.
  6. Now serve ith with onion slices n lemon.
