ABOUT Dal Vada or Lentil Fritters with Tomato chilly sauce RECIPE

A snack item which is healthy and made out of Moong Dal and Masoor Dal.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup Moong Dal
  2. 1/2 cup Masoor Dal
  3. 2 green chillies chopped
  4. Salt as required
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1/4 tsp red chilly powder
  7. Oil for deep frying
  8. 1/4 tsp lemon juice
  9. 5 tsp tomato sauce
  10. 1/2 tsp chopped coriander

Instructions

  1. Soak Moong and Masoor Dal for 30 mins.Blend it in a blender with salt.
  2. Chop green chillies and add it to the blender.Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,chopped coriander and mix it well.
  3. Take oil in a flat pan ,take mixture with a small spoon and put it in the oil and fry it.Flip it over,when one side is done.
  4. Once it turns golden brown,put it on a tissue paper and serve hot.
  5. For sauce,take tomato sauce in a pan,add green chillies and sauté it on low flame for 1 Min,Switch of the stove and add lemon juice .
  6. Enjoy Dal vada with Tomato chilly sauce.
