ABOUT Leftover Roti Pakoda RECIPE

In our homes, many times chapatis are left out. This recipe is one of the options to use them. It is very easy, quick and gets ready in about 15 minutes.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 leftover chapatis
  2. 2 tbsp gram flour
  3. 2 tbsp rice flour
  4. 1 tbsp semolina
  5. 1 onion finely chopped
  6. 1 green chilli finely chopped
  7. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  8. 1/4 Tsp Asafoetida
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  11. 1 PINCH TURMERIC POWDER
  12. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  13. 1 tbsp hot oil
  14. Water as required
  15. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. take leftover chapatis and break into the pieces
  2. grind them to a fine powder
  3. in a bowl add chapati chura and all the remaining ingrediants except water
  4. mix everything well
  5. now pour water, mix well and prepare a thick batter
  6. heat oil in a kadai over medium flame
  7. when oil becomes hot, take small portion of mixture in the hand and gently drop 4-5 pakodas into the oil and deep fry until they turn golden brown in colour
  8. take them out and drain excess oil
  9. repeat the process for remaining batter
  10. serve with a cup of tea
