Hirvya mirchicha thecha is a Maharashtrian recipe. It is made from very few and basic ingridients and can be an excellent side dish. It specially goes well with any bhakari.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/4 cup peanuts
  2. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  3. 1 tbsp garlic
  4. 1 cup Green chillies
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1 tsp oil
  7. 1 tsp Lemon juice(optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat up oil in a pan.
  2. Add peanuts and fry until they turn little reddish.
  3. Add cumin seeds.
  4. Peel and chop the garlic. Add garlic and fry for about a minute.
  5. Take green chillies, wash them and remove the stalk.
  6. Chop and add the chillies.
  7. Fry for about 4-5 minutes.
  8. Turn off the gas.
  9. Take it out into a stone made mortar and pestle.
  10. Add salt and lemon juice into thecha.
  11. You can use mixer if you don't have mortar and pestle.
  12. Heat up oil in a pan.
  13. Add thecha in hot oil.
  14. Fry for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  15. Thecha is already.
  16. You can store the thecha in an airtight container and store it in freeze.
