Momos is a type of South Asian Dumplings native to Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan and Sikkim

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup all purpose flour
  2. 1 cup cabbage shredded
  3. 1/2 cup green bell pepper finely chopped
  4. 2 tbsp garlic finely chopped
  5. 1 tsp ginger chopped
  6. 15 to 20 soya chunks
  7. 2 tbsp soya sauce
  8. 1 tbsp black pepper powder
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. For Tandoor Style
  11. 1 cup hung curd
  12. 1 tsp cumin powder
  13. 1 tsp coriander powder
  14. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  15. 1 tsp dry mango powder
  16. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  17. Red food colour ( optional)

Instructions

  1. Take all purpose flour in a bowl then ads salt and knead a soft dough and keep aside
  2. Take soya chunks and boil them in water and salt until soft
  3. Then drain the water and squeeze it and grind into paste
  4. Take a pan add 1 tbsp oil in it
  5. Then add garlic and ginger. Saute fir a min
  6. Add cabbage and bell pepper in it
  7. Saute for 2 min
  8. Then add salt and black pepper
  9. Add soya sauce the add grinder soya chunks
  10. Saute till the mixture become dry
  11. Take a small portion of dough as we take of puri
  12. Roll it a little
  13. Add 1 tbsp stuffing and pack it like a modak
  14. Steam the momos half cooked
  15. Now to make it tandoori
  16. Take hung curd in a bowl
  17. Add cumin powder, garam masala, red chilly powder, dry mango powder, coriander powder,salt and red food colour
  18. Take momos coat it with the mixture. Keep it for and hour in the refrigerator
  19. Take the mood and grill it in the grilling pan by brushing little oil on it
  20. Serve with onions and chutney
