Delicious paneer in rich indian gravy
In a kadai, add oil and butter.
Add all the whole spices and fry them for half minute.
Add jeera, ginger garlic paste. Once you get the aroma of the paste, add onion paste.
Once the onion paste is half cooked, add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder. Mix and cook for 2mins.
To the above mixture, add the tomato paste / puree. Give a mix.
Add sugar. Mix and let it cook for 3-4mins.
Add the paneer cubes, and some water. Let the paneer get cooked in the gravy for 5mins.
Once you see the paneer is cooked, add almond and cashew powder.
Give a mix and let it cook for a minute. Adjust spices according to your taste.
Add kasuri methi, give a mix and turn of the heat. Keep the lid closed. Add a cube of butter while serving.
