ABOUT Curd Semiya RECIPE

Vermicelli cooked and mixed with seasoned curds.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1.5 cups roasted semiya
  2. 3 cups water
  3. 2.5 cups thick curd.
  4. Salt as per taste.
  5. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.
  6. For Seasoning: 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  7. 1.5 tsp oil
  8. 1 tsp urad dal
  9. 3 dry red chili broken
  10. 5-6 cashews
  11. 7-8 curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Boil 3 cups of water in deep bottom pan over medium flame.
  2. Add semiya with little salt and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove and drain excess water. keep it aside to cool
  4. Add curd and salt to Semiya .Mix well.
  5. Heat oil in a small pan over low heat
  6. Splutter mustard seeds. Add cashews, urad dal, curry leaves, red chilies and saute until dal is golden brown
  7. Pour the seasoning over semiya and mix well
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve warm or cold with pickle
