Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 full legs cut into pieces
  2. 1 cup Basmati Rice
  3. Salt to taste
  4. 4 cloves, 1 tejpatta
  5. 2 small and 2 big elachi
  6. 1 dalchini stick
  7. 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  8. 2 tsp butter
  9. oil
  10. 1 tsp garam masala
  11. 1 tsp meat masala
  12. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  13. 1/4 tsp lalmirch powder
  14. 1/4 tsp Jeera
  15. 2 Chopped Onions
  16. 4-5 tbsp curd
  17. 2 tbsp Milk
  18. few strands of kesar
  19. For the garnish-
  20. Roasted cashewnuts
  21. Chopped Coriander
  22. For the raita-
  23. 300-400 gms curd
  24. Chopped tomatoes and cucumber
  25. Salt to taste
  26. 1/2 tsp jeera powder
  27. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  28. Pinch of powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash rice, put salt and cook it 75%.
  2. Take karahi put oil add cloves, small and big elachi, tejpatta, jeera, dalchini stick.
  3. When they crackle add chopped onions saute till brown.
  4. Add all dry spices and little water cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add chicken pieces and roast on high flame for 3-4 min.
  6. Add curd on low flame, saute it for 10-12 minutes on low flame.
  7. Put water as required and cook chicken ( not fully).
  8. Now add parboiled Rice and kesar dissolved in milk.
  9. See there will be enough water so that chicken and rice gets cooked completely.
  10. Cover the lid and put karahi on hot tawa on low flame until biryani is cooked.
  11. Garnish with chopped coriander and roasted cashewnuts.
  12. Serve hot with Raita.
  13. For Raita whisk curd add all the ingredients and mix well.
