ABOUT Burhani Raita RECIPE

Burhani Raita is a perfect accompaniment to Biryani. It is less cooling than normal raitas, because of the garlic in it.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup thick curd
  2. Garlic juice 1 tbsp
  3. Garlic clove 1 chopped
  4. Black salt 1 tsp levelled
  5. Roasted jeera powder 1 tsp
  6. Chilli powder 1 tsp
  7. Black Salt 1 tsp
  8. Oil 1 tsp
  9. Chopped Coriander leaves 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take curd in a bowl.Add garlic juice and salt.Mix well.
  2. Add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder and 1 /2 tsp jeera powder.Mix well.
  3. Slice a garlic clove .Heat 1 tsp oil add slices of garlic.Temper over the raita.Garnish with rest of the chilli and jeera powder.
  4. Add in coriander leaves.Serve with biryaani.
