Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Thick aval(poha) 1 1/4 cup
  2. 1 onion sliced thinly
  3. 3 tbsp lemon juice
  4. 2 green chilli slit
  5. few curry leaves
  6. 1 tesp ginger minced
  7. 2 tbsp grated coconut
  8. 1 tbsp finely chopped Coriander leaves
  9. 3 tbsp oil
  10. 1/4 tesp turmeric powder
  11. 1/2 tesp each of mustard,urad dal and channa dal
  12. Few cashew broken to half
  13. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak aval in water
  2. Place a kadai on medium heat,add oil,to it add mustard, urad and channa dal and cashew,stir till light brown
  3. Add curry leaves,ginger,chilli and saute ,add in the sliced onions and saute till soft
  4. Now add turmeric and salt.
  5. Squeeze the aval gently and add it, pour in the lemon juice,mix gently,cover and cook on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Add the grated coconut and coriander leaves mix and remove.
  7. Serve hot.
