Delicious yummy flan dessert made out curd..

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For flan
  2. 1/4 cup hung curd
  3. 1/4 cup condensed milk
  4. 1/8 cup milk
  5. 2 tbsp Sugar
  6. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  7. For Cake
  8. 20 gm cake flour
  9. 15 gm sugar
  10. 1 tbsp oil
  11. 1 tbsp water
  12. 1 no egg yolk
  13. 1/4 tsp baking powder
  14. Pinch of salt
  15. Vanilla Essence
  16. 1 no egg white
  17. 1 tbsp sugar
  18. Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Hang the regular curd in a muslin cloth for couple of hours so that the excess water is drained off.
  2. Carameliz the sugar by heating sugar in a dry pan and pour into separate silicone moulds
  3. These are the rest of the Flan ingredients
  4. Mix all the ingredients . Beat to make it smooth. Keep aside
  5. Cake ingredients
  6. Separate the egg yolk and white. Beat the yolk with sugar and water.
  7. Add oil when yolk colour is changed and mix well.
  8. Sieve maida with baking powder and salt. Fold the maida into the egg batter.
  9. Beat the egg white by adding a pinch of salt and sugar. Add vanilla and whisk until soft peaks are attained.
  10. Fold the meringue like egg whites into cake mixture, in 3 parts gradually.
  11. First pour curd flan mixture in the moulds
  12. Secondly pour cake mixture in each moulds. Put the moulds on a separater and steam in cooker ( water is there for steam) for 15 minutes on low heat. ( my otg 's thermostat is not working)
  13. Curd flan cake is ready. It was unbelievably delicious.
  14. Ready to serve ..
