ABOUT Benarasi phalari dahi ke aloo.. RECIPE

This is an aloo rassa made with beaten curd specially for fasts during Navratri. We have this with kottu ki puri.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled potatoes 4-5
  2. Curd 250-300 gm
  3. red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  4. ghee 1 tbsp
  5. jeera [cumin seeds] 1/2 tsp
  6. green chillies - 2
  7. sendha namak - 2 pinches

Instructions

  1. Heat a saucepan with some ghee. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  2. Then add the boiled and mashed potatoes. mix well. Then add curd and mix well as well.
  3. Add water for the gravy, then add red chilly powder and green chillies.
  4. Add the sendha namak, cook for few minutes, let the ghee float on top and serve.
