ABOUT Vegetable Pulav !! RECIPE

A healthy and tasty dish, that is perfect for tiffin and lunch boxes as well.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice- 1 glass
  2. Soya nuggets - boiled 1 cup
  3. Beans - 100 gms chopped small
  4. Carrots - 100 gms small
  5. Capsicum - 1 finely chopped
  6. Sweet Corn - 1/2 cup
  7. Onion - 2 finely chopped
  8. Tomato - 1 finely chopped
  9. Jeera - 1 tspn
  10. Whole garam masala- cloves,cinnamon,pepper corns,cardamom,bay leaf,fennel seeds
  11. Green chilly slit-2
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Lemon - 1/2
  14. Water - 2 glasses
  15. Oil- 2 tbspn
  16. Ghee-1 tspn
  17. Coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and wash the rice.....soak it for about 15 minutes.... Take a pressure cooker ....Heat it...Put oil and ghee.....
  2. When hot add jeera and whole garam masala.... Then add the chopped onions and slit green chilly
  3. Saute well for 2 minutes
  4. Then add all the chopped vegetables and fry for a few minutes
  5. Put the washed basmati rice and fry well
  6. Now pour water....Add salt and lemon juice....
  7. Add the boiled soya nuggets to it.....Give a nice stir....
  8. Close the cooker with the lid
  9. Do not put the whistle....Cook on low to medium flame for about 5 to 7 minutes....
  10. When done turn off the gas
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves
  12. Serve hot with raita and pickle papad etc ....
