Mini samosa for kids lunchbox stuffed with moongdal

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup refined flour
  2. Salt as per taste
  3. Kalonji ⅛ spoon
  4. Refined oil for deep frying + 2 spoon
  5. Lukewarm water as per requirement
  6. Moong dal ½ cup
  7. Red chilli powder ½ spoon
  8. Fennel seeds coarsely grinded ¼ spoon
  9. Asfoetida 1 pinch
  10. Raisins 15-20
  11. Powdered sugar 1 spoon
  12. Garam masala 1 spoon
  13. Dried mango powder ½ spoon
  14. Turmeric powder ⅛ spoon

Instructions

  1. Mix salt,kalonji and 2 spoon oil in refined flour
  2. Knead a soft dough with water
  3. Wash the lentis and boil for 5 minutes
  4. It should be little cooked not overcooked
  5. Strain excess water
  6. Heat 2 spoon oil in a wok
  7. Add fennel seeds and asfoedita
  8. Add boiled lentis and cook for 2 minutes on low flame
  9. Mix all spices and salt
  10. Add raisins and switch off the flame
  11. Make the stuffing dry
  12. Devide the Dough lemon sized balls
  13. Roll in small oval shape and cut in 2 halves
  14. Smear water on flat edges and make a cone by folding and sticking the edges
  15. Put 1 spoon stuffing
  16. Smear water on opening and seal samosa by pressing
  17. Make all samosa like this
  18. Heat oil and deep fry samosa on low flame
  19. Keep in air tight container when it is cooled completely
  20. Can be given to kids for lunchbox or evening snacks
