Take rice flour, salt and water in a bowl, mix well.
Add oil and mix well. Keep aside for 10 minutes when the dough is formed. Make small balls using the dough, Steam the balls in a steamer for 15 minutes.
Keep aside.Heat some oil in a pan, put mustard seeds, urad daal and curry leaves in the pan.
When the seeds start crackling, put add the steamed Kozhatakai and mix well, keep it on midium flame till golden brown. Add idly powder mix well. Keep on frying till it becomes crispy, add more oil if needed.
Aamni kozhakatai is ready to be served with hot cup of Tea/Coffee.

I'm sorry for the delay Rewa .. Here is the recipe Podi idly :yum::yum: Recipe for idly podi... Urad daal 3/4th cup. Chana daal 1/4 th cup. Totally 1 cup. Red Chilli 20 if u want more spice add extra. White sesame seeds 2 tbs. Salt as required. Hing. Method: Very simple. Dry roast all the above ingredient separately except salt and hing. For red Chilli add one tbs oil for crispy fry. Let all cool down. In a blender put all the ingredients with salt and hing grind it coarsely. Ur blender should be dry for this. Keep open for 15 mins and put it in a airtight box for remains freshness. Enjoy with hot idly dosa uttapam. Take 2 to 3 spoons of above mentioned podi . Add some cooking oil / gingerly oil and mix well like a paste. Now take one cooked Idly apply the paste both side shown in the picture. Allow to Soak with the paste for minimum 1 hour. And have a bite it's is so delicious wen it soaks . Enjoy this yummy podi idly along with coffee or tea :coffee:️

Hi Priya. Nice nd interesting recipe. At first I thought they are LOTUS SEEDS (MAKHAANAAS) , but on going through the recipe I came to know that they r rice balls. Will definitely try . U have given a nice idea of giving this in tiffin. Secondly, if possible can u share recipe of Idli Powder. If I am not mistaken is it Sambhar Powder ?
