ABOUT Vegetarian Mutton RECIPE

Iftaar parties are never complete without mutton dishes but this time i twisted a vegetarian dish n prepared vegetarian mutton to provide a lighter version.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For kebabs-Jackfruit pieces dressed and washed 8-12
  2. Beasn/gram flour 2 cups
  3. Ginger -Garlic paste 1tbsp
  4. Green chillies 4-5 chopped
  5. Garlic cloves 10-12
  6. Onion 1 medium sliced
  7. Mustard oil to fry kebabs
  8. Salt to taste
  9. For Curry - 1 onion medium sized chopped
  10. 2 medium sized tomatoes chopped
  11. Garlic cloves 7-8
  12. 2 red chillies chopped
  13. Red chilly powder 2tsps
  14. Turmeric powder 2tsps
  15. Coriander powder 2tsps
  16. Garam masala 2 tsps
  17. Mustard oil 2tbsp
  18. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. First of all boil the jackfruit pieces with garlic cloves and a little salt in pressure cooker till they become tender.
  2. Mix besan,salt, turmeric powder, Ginger garlic paste,water green chillies,sliced onions to make a thick paste.
  3. Coat the boiled pieces of jackfruit with thick paste and fry till golden brown.
  4. Repeat the procedure with all pieces.
  5. Now grind all ingredients of curry to make a smooth paste.
  6. Heat the oil and roast masala till it leaves oil and a nice aroma.
  7. Add fried jackfruit pieces to the gravy.
  8. Add 1 glass of water and boil for 10 minutes to reduce the water.
  9. Serve hot with chapatis or rice and enjoy eating
