Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Katla fish 6 pieces
  2. 2 chopped potatoes
  3. 4 sliced pointed gourds
  4. 1 chopped onion
  5. 2 green chillies
  6. 1 red chilly
  7. 1 bay leaf
  8. Panchforon 1/2 tsp
  9. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  10. 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  11. 2 tsp Corriander powder
  12. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  13. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  14. 2 tsp turmeric powder
  15. 3 tsp salt
  16. 1 cup Mustard Oil
  17. 1 Cup water

Instructions

  1. Smear the Katla fish pieces with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp turmeric powder,kept aside for 10 mins.Fry the fish pieces in hot mustard oil.
  2. Also fry the potato and pointed gourds.
  3. Again heat mustard oil, crackle the cumin seeds,panchforon each 1/2 tsp, bayleaf, add chopped onion ,green chilly,red chilly.Sprinkle 1 tsp salt on it.
  4. Add 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 2 tsp corriander powder,1 tsp Red chilly powder, 2 tsp turmeric powder and Salt to taste.
  5. Add fried potato and pointed gourd on it, and mix well with the masala mixture.
  6. Now add 1 cup of water,after that release the fried fish on the soup.
  7. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp garam masala powder on the soup,and serve it with steamed rice.
