It is a very popular Bengali cuisine.It is cooked just like a non-veg gravy & generally serve with rice or any Indian bread.
Simply awesome.
Wash & cut the pointed gourd first.Marinate with salt & red chilli powder.
Make a paste of garlic,onion, cashew nuts,green chilli,sugar & curd.Coconut can be replaced with cashew nuts.
Heat oil , toss & fry the marinated pointed gourds for few minutes.Take out from oil then.
Now add cumin seeds in the same oil & let it crackle.
Add spice paste , ginger paste & fry it for few minutes.
Add all spices & salt.Stir it constantly.
When the spice mixture will start to leave oil, add 2 cup of hot water then.
Add fried pointed gourd now.Cover it & let it boil .
After some time open the lid & check salt & gravy.If it is ok, then add coriander leaves & garam masala.
Its ready now.Serve it with rice or roti.
