Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Pointed gourd / parwal - 8 piece
  2. Cottage cheese / paneer - 1 cup
  3. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  4. Chopped green chilly - 1/4 tsp
  5. Salt - to taste
  6. Oil - 1 tbsp
  7. For gravy
  8. Chopped onion - 1
  9. Garlic cloves - 4 - 5
  10. Ginger - 1 inch stick
  11. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  12. Kashmiri red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  13. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  14. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  15. Green cardamom - 2
  16. Black cardamom - 1
  17. Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  18. Black pepper - 1 - 2
  19. Mace - 1 piece
  20. Cloves - 2 - 3
  21. Tomato puree - 1 tbsp
  22. Curd - 2 tbsp
  23. Milk - 1/2 cup
  24. Cream - 2 tbsp
  25. Salt - to taste
  26. Oil - 4 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash pointed gourd / parwal properly.
  2. Cut the edges of the pointed gourd / parwal
  3. Now cut them length wise from one side.
  4. Heat oil in a pan
  5. Fry the pointed gourd / parwal in medium flame.
  6. Drain and keep aside.
  7. Take a bowl add cottage cheese / paneer,green chilly,coriander leaves and salt and mix well.
  8. .'Now stuffing is ready.
  9. Stuff the filling in the fried pointed gourd / parwal.'
  10. Now we make gravy.
  11. In a blender add chopped onion,garlic,ginger,whole black pepper,cloves,mace,cinnamon,black and green cardamom,red chilly powder,kashmiri mirch mowder,turmeric powder,coriander powder and little water and blend it.
  12. Make a fine paste.
  13. Heat oil in a pan
  14. Add onion and spices paste and saute till spices leaves the oil.
  15. Add tomato puree and curd and mix well.
  16. Add milk and cream and cover it and cook in a low flame.
  17. Add 1/2 cup of water and salt to make semi thick gravy.
  18. Add the stuff pointed gourd / parwal and cook for one mins.
  19. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
