A traditional Bengali fish curry with mustard and spices

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 400 gm rohu fish or fish of your choice
  2. Mustard paste 3 tablespoon
  3. Poppy seed paste 3 tablespoon
  4. green chilli paste one tablespoon
  5. One big onion chopped
  6. one big tomato puree
  7. Salt as per your taste
  8. Few whole garam masala
  9. 2 tea spoonwhole coriander seed paste
  10. 1 tablespoon Kashmiri Chilli paste
  11. 2 teaspoon haldi powder
  12. one teaspoon green chilli paste
  13. to bay leaf
  14. Mustard Oil as required
  15. Few chopped coriander leaves and creams for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Mix salt & turmeric powder to the fishes. Fry well.
  2. Heat oil & add bay leaf
  3. Add chopped onion fry well
  4. Add ginger garlic paste fry well
  5. Add tomato puree & green chilli paste
  6. Add whole coriander seed paste, turmeric & Kashmiri chilli powder
  7. Add Garam Masala paste
  8. that poppy seed and mustard paste
  9. now fry the masala very well
  10. and two cups of water & let it boli
  11. now add the fried fish
  12. when the gravy become thick switch off the gas
  13. now garnish with chopped coriander leaves and cream
