  1. Basmati rice-1/2kg
  2. Country chicken -1/2kg
  3. Onion-3 sliced
  4. Tomato-3sliced
  5. Green chilli-3-5
  6. Curd-100gm
  7. Oil-75gm
  8. Ghee-75gm
  9. Ginger garlic paste-4tblspn
  10. Cardamom -4
  11. Cinnamon -2stick
  12. Biryani leaf-2
  13. Biryani powder-1spn
  14. Chilli powder-3tblspn+taste
  15. Salt-to taste
  16. Mint and coriander- each 1cup

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1/2 KG BASMATI RICE IN ONE CUP AND SOAK IT FOR 30MINS
  2. MARINATE 1/2KG COUNTRY CHICKEN WITH 2SPN CHILLI POWDER,SALT,50 GRM CURD AND 2SPN GINGER GARLIC PASTE
  3. IN APAN ADD GHEE AND OIL HEAT IT, ADD CARDAMOM, BIRYANI LEAF AND CARDAMOM, HALF MINT AND CORIANDER
  4. ADD SOME ONION AND 4TBLSPN GINGER GARLIC PASTE, MIX WELL
  5. ADD GREEN CHILLI, 3CHOPPED ONION AND 3TOMATOES COOK WELL
  6. ADD ANOTHER 50GMS CURD, SALT AND 1SPN BIRYANI MASALA MIX WELL
  7. ADD 2TBLSPN CHILLI POWDER AND MIX WELL
  8. NOW ADD HALF AMOUNT OF MINT AND CORIANDER LEAVES
  9. WHEN ONION AND TOMATO COOKS WELL ADD MARINADE COUNTRY CHICKEN AND COOK IT FOR 30MINS IN MEDIUM FLAME
  10. AFTER 30MINS ADD 1 1/2 CUP WATER, WATER RATIO IS 1:1 1/2, RICE-1CUP MEANS WATER- 1AND HALF CUP
  11. WHEN WATER BOILS WELL ADD RICE, REMAINING MINT AND CORIANDER LEAVES, COOK IN MEDIUM HIGH FLAME
  12. WHEN RICE COOKS TO 3/4TH STAGE ADD 1LEMON JUICE MIX WITH YELLOW FOOD COLOR
  13. PUT ANY HEAVY VESSEL ABOVE THE BIRYANI POT, COOK IT FOR 20MINS IN VERY LOW FLAME
  14. BIRYANI IS PERFECTLY DONE
