broken wheat rava idli, dosa and uttapam
Nice one.
Wash broken wheat and Urad dal and soak it for 5 hrs
Grind the broken wheat in a mixi
Now add the soaked Poha in to the mixi and grind them well
Now transfer the batter to a bowl
Next grind Urad dal with fenugreek seeds
Transfer the Urad dal batter in to the broken wheat mixture
Add salt in to the batter
Give a good mix with hands
Cover and let the batter ferment for 8-9 hrs.
Now the fermented batter is ready to use
Grease the Idli moulds and pour the batter in to moulds.
Cover them and steam the idols for 10-12 minutes
Now the idlis are cooked
Take the idlis by using spoons
Same batter we can use for making dosa. Heat the tawa and pour the batter and shape it like dosa
Add oil around the edges
Now the dosa is cooked
Same batter we can use for uttapam.pour the batter on the tawa and spread it very thick
Add the chopped onion, carrots, tomato, and coriander leaves
Add some oil towards the edge and center
Flip it and cook on the other side until it is cooked well.
Now the uttapam is ready
Broken wheat rava idly , uttapam is ready and serve with sambar and chutney..
