ABOUT Spicy Kaara Chutney RECIPE

This is one of my favourite recipes by my grand ma. A delicious and spicy chutney to be served with idlis or dosa.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Oil as required
  2. Onion 2
  3. Tomato 1
  4. Channa dal 1 tsp
  5. Seasame seeds 1/2 tsp
  6. Red chilli 4-5
  7. Tamarind little amount
  8. Salt as required
  9. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  10. Urad dal 1/2 tsp
  11. Curryleaves 1 string

Instructions

  1. TAKE ALL THE INGREDIENTS
  2. IN PAN HEAT OIL
  3. ADD SESAME SEEDS AND CHANNA DAL AND FRY WELL
  4. NOW ADD ONION
  5. SAUTE IT WELL
  6. ADD RED CHILLIES
  7. NOW ADD TOMATO.SAUTE IT WELL
  8. COOK FOR 5-10 MIN IN LOW FLAME
  9. ADD LITTLE SIZE OF TAMARIND
  10. NOW ITS WELL COOKED
  11. ADD SALT AND GRIND IT
  12. NOW KAARA CHUTNEY IS READY.
  13. FOR SEASONING HEAT OIL
  14. ADD MUSTARD URAD DAL,CURRY LEAVES AND RED CHILLI AND FRY FOR FEW MIN
  15. MIX IT WITH CHUTNEY.
  16. SPICY KAARA CHUTNEY IS READY
