ABOUT Oats stuffed healthy dumplings RECIPE

This recipe is ideal for kids lunch box as it us healthy and equally tasty when eaten cold

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For filling
  2. 2 small packets of instant oats ( any flavour)
  3. 1 tsp chopped green Chillies
  4. 1 tsp chopped garlic
  5. 1 tsp chopped ginger
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
  7. 1 carrot finely chopped
  8. 4 beans finely chopped
  9. 2 tbsp red capsicum finely chopped
  10. 2 tbsp yellow capsicum finely chopped
  11. 2 tsp fresh coriander finely chopped
  12. For dough
  13. 1/2 cup each of rice, oats and wheat flour
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Warm water as required to knead the dough
  16. For tempering
  17. 1 tsp oil
  18. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  19. Few curry leaves
  20. 2 tbsp chopped onion

Instructions

  1. KEEP ALL THE INGREDIENTS READY
  2. HEAT PAN AND ADD OIL TO IT
  3. ADD CHOPPED GINGER GARLIC TO.OIL AND SAUTE
  4. ADD GREEN CHILLIES AND SAUTE
  5. ADD CHOPPED ONION AND COOK
  6. ADD CHOPPED CARROT AND BEANS AND COOK
  7. ADD RED AND YELLOW CAPSICUM AND SALT AND COOK
  8. ADD OATS AND PEPPER
  9. ADD WATER AND COOK TILL MIXTURE BECOMES DRY
  10. ALLOW IT TO COOL
  11. ADD WARM.WATER AND KNEAD A SOFT DOUGH
  12. ADD OIL TO DOUGH AND LET IT REST
  13. GREASE TIN FOR STEAMING DUMPLINGS
  14. ROLL.POORIS OF DOUGH AND FILL THE FILLING
  15. SEAL.THE EDGES
  16. PLACE IT IN GREASED TIN.
  17. STEAM IT FOR 15 MINS
  18. LET IT COOL DOWN
  19. CUT IN PIECES
  20. PLACE IN LUNCH BOX
  21. FOR TEMPERING HEAT A TEMPERING PAN. ADD OIL TO IT
  22. ADD MUSTARD SEEDS AND CURRY LEAVES
  23. POUR IT OVER DUMPLING PIECES
