Rava upma is very easy and quick tiffin recipe. Here no onion, it is ginger flavoured. It is very tasty, healthy and had good aroma.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Bombay rava 2 cup
  2. Cooking oil 3 tsp
  3. Fried Groundnut 1/4 cup
  4. Curry leaves few
  5. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  6. Urad dal 2 tsp
  7. Red chilli 1
  8. Ginger finely chopped 3 tsp
  9. Water 6 cup
  10. Ghee 2 tsp
  11. Grated coconut 1/2 cup
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Sugar optional 1-2 tsp

Instructions

  1. HEAT OIL
  2. ADD MUSTARD SEEDS, URAD DAL AND RED CHILLI
  3. AFTER SPLUTTER ADD CURRY LEAVES AND GINGER
  4. ADD FRIED GROUNDNUT, MIX WELL
  5. ADD BOMBAY RAVA
  6. FRY IN MEDIUM FLAME FOR 3-4 MINUTES
  7. POUR BOILING WATER
  8. STIR CONTINUOUSLY, MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO LUMPS
  9. ADD SALT
  10. WHEN THE WATER EVAPORATED COMPLETELY, ADD GHEE AND COCONUT, MIX WELL, TURN OFF FLAME AND SERVE
