ABOUT Rava Upma RECIPE

Easy to prepare morning breakfast.Can be eaten plain or with chutney or sugar.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. I cup rava(semolina)
  2. 2 medium onion thinly sliced
  3. 1 medium tomato chopped
  4. 2 green chilli slit
  5. 1 tesp minced ginger
  6. Few curry leaves
  7. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. 1 1/2 cup water
  10. Seasoning ( 1/2tesp each of mustard,urad dal and bengal gram.Few cashew peices)
  11. 3 tbsp oil
  12. 1 tbsp ghee

Instructions

  1. Place pan with oil on medium heat
  2. Add the seasoning let splutter,add curry leaves ,ginger ,chilli saute it
  3. Add onions cook till soft add tomatoes stir till half cooked
  4. Add salt and water ,when it starts boiling ,reduce flame to low.
  5. Add rava and fold in till well combined without lumps
  6. Add coriander leaves and ghee give it a stir.
  7. Hot upma is ready for breakfast or tea.
