Vada pav is basically one of the famous street foods of mumbai. It is tasty and delicious. It basically has batata vada which is sandwiched between two slices of a pav, along with green chutney and red chutney.
Very famous recipe.
For the vada feeling... Take a pan add oil. Heat it.
Add in mustard seeds.
Cumin seeds,
Let it splutter.
Now add curry leaves.
Saute for a few seconds.
Now add grated ginger and finaly chopped green chillies.
Add turmeric powder and salt.
Again saute for few seconds.
Now add boiled and mashed potatoes.
Switch off the gas and mix it in the cooked mixture.
Make round shape balls.
For the outer covering...
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
Add water as required and mix it.
Make a smooth batter. It should not be so thick or thin.
Now dip all the vadas in the batter. Coat the mixture well and deep fry it in hot oil.
Fry it till golden brown.
Now take a pav. Slice it half. Apply green chutney and red chutney inside.
Place one vada in each pav.
Now surve it.
