  1. FOR MASALA
  2. coriander seeds 2 tbsp
  3. Channa dal 2 tbsp
  4. urad dal 1 tbsp
  5. Red chillies 5
  6. Methi 1/2 tsp
  7. jeera 1/2 tsp
  8. curry leaves
  9. Chopped onion 1
  10. Chopped tomato 1
  11. Coconut 1/4 cup
  12. Salt 1 tsp
  13. For gravy
  14. Brinjal 6
  15. Tamarind extract
  16. Onion 1 big size
  17. tomatoes 2
  18. Salt 1/2 tsp
  19. Coriander leaves
  20. To Temper
  21. oil
  22. Mustard
  23. curry leaves
  24. Red chillies 3

Instructions

  1. TAKE 2 TBPS CORIANDER SEEDS, CHANNA DAL, 1 TBSP URAD DAL, 0.5 TSP METHI, JEERA, 5 RED CHILLIES AND CURRY LEAVES
  2. TAKE 1 CHOPPED ONION, 1 CHOPPED TOMATO, 1/4 CUP CHOPPED COCONUT
  3. SAUTE DRY SPICES FIRST
  4. SAUTE ONION
  5. SAUTE TOMATO AND COCONUT
  6. COOL THE MIXTURE. ADD THEM TO BLENDER AND ADD SALT. GRIND TO SMOOTH PASTE
  7. STUFF MASALA IN BRINJAL. SET ASIDE
  8. TAKE 1 CHOPPED ONION, 2 CHOPPED TOMATO, 3 RED CHILLIES AND CURRY LEAVES
  9. ADD OIL IN KADAI. ADD MUSTARD. WHEN IT CRACKS ADD ONION
  10. SAUTE ONION AND RED CHILLIES
  11. SAUTE TOMATOES
  12. ADD CURRY LEAVES. SAUTE
  13. ADD SALT AND SAUTE
  14. ADD STUFFED BRINJAL
  15. ADD TAMARIND EXTRACT AND CORIANDER LEAVES
  16. CLOSE WITH A LID AND COOK ON LOW FLAME FOR 10 MINUTES
