ABOUT Mutton Masala RECIPE

Mutton masala recipe is delicious,soft tender chunks of lamb meat in indian style spiced onion coconut gravy. This video will help you make this dish with very basic ingredients and simple steps.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Oil 3-4tbsp
  2. Mutton 1/2 kg
  3. Onion 2
  4. Garlic 8-10
  5. Ginger 1piece
  6. Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  7. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder 1tsp
  9. Garam masala 1tsp
  10. Kanda lasun masala 2tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Brown onion 1/2 cup
  13. Dry coconut fried 1/4 cup
  14. Sesame seeds dry roasted 1tsp
  15. Jeera roasted 1tsp
  16. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. MUTTON MASALA
  2. WASH THE MUTTON PROPERLY AND MARINATE WITH GREEN MASALA
  3. ADD TURMERIC POWDER AND SALT
  4. MIX IT WELL AND KEEP ASIDE FOR 15-20 MINUTES
  5. HEAT A PRESSURE COOKER AND ADD OIL
  6. ADD CHOPPED ONIONS AND SAUTE WELL
  7. ONCE ONION IS LIGHT PINK ADD MARINATED MUTTON AND MIX WELL
  8. FRY TILL THE OIL SEPARATES
  9. STIR MUTTON WELL TILL ITS LIGHT BROWN AND OIL SEPARATES
  10. NOW ADD BROWN MASALA
  11. MIX IT WELL
  12. ADD ALL DRY SPICES - TURMERIC POWDER 1/4 TSP, RED CHILLI POWDER, GARAM MASALA.
  13. ADD KANDA LASUN MASALA AND SALT
  14. MIX IT PROPERLY
  15. SAUTE FOR 5MINUTES THEN ADD WATER
  16. PRESSURE COOK THE MUTTON TILL 3-4 WHISTLES ON A LOW FLAME
  17. OPEN THE LID AND CHECK IF ITS COOKED. THEN GARNISH WITH CORIANDER LEAVES
  18. SERVE HOT WITH ROTI, BHAKRI OR STEAMED RICE
