Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 packet baby corn
  2. 1 cup refined flour
  3. 1/2 cup corn flour
  4. Required salt
  5. Red chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
  6. Green chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
  7. Ketchup - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. TAKE 250 GMS BABY CORNS, SLIT THEM INTO HALF, ADD SALT, STEAM THEM FOR 5 MINS IN A MICROWAVE
  2. THE BABY CORNS SHOULD BE HALF-COOKED LIKE THIS
  3. DRAIN, COOL TO ROOM TEMPERATURE, ADD SALT, 1 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, 1/2 CUP CORNFLOUR, MIX WELL
  4. ADD 1 TBSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE
  5. ADD 1/4 CUP WATER, MIX UNTIL THE BABY CORN GETS WELL-COATED WITH THE MIXTURE
  6. THE BATTER SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS
  7. DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP, SET ASIDE
  8. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 DICED ONION, 1 CAPSICUM, 1 TSP GARLIC CLOVES, SOME LETTUCE, SAUTE
  9. ADD SALT, 1 TBSP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1 TSP SOYA SAUCE
  10. ADD 1 TBSP GREEN CHILLI SAUCE, MIX & COOK FOR 1 MINUTE
  11. ADD 1/4 CUP WATER, BRING TO A BOIL, ADD THE FRIED BABY CORN
  12. ADD 1/4 CUP CORNFLOUR SLURRY
  13. ADD 1 TBSP TOMATO KETCHUP, A LITTLE CRUSHED KASURI METHI
  14. ADD A PINCH OF RED FOOD COLOUR ( OPTIONAL ), A DASH OF FRESH LIME JUICE & IT'S DONE
  15. SERVE HOT WITH RICE OR NOODLES
