Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup all purpose flour
  2. 2 tbsp rice flour
  3. 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  4. 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  5. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  6. 105 g soft unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. MIX FLOURS AND SALT IN A BOWL. KEEP IT ASIDE
  2. CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR IN A BOWL UNTIL CREAMY
  3. ADD VANILLA EXTRACT AND BLEND WELL
  4. GRADUALLY ADD DRY INGREDIENTS AND MIX UNTIL DOUGH COMES TOGETHER
  5. PLACE DOUGH ON BAKING DISH AND DUST PALMS WITH FLOUR
  6. SPREAD DOUGH EVENLY AND SMOOTH TOP
  7. PRICK WITH FORK TO RELEASE STEAM WHILE BAKING
  8. OPTIONAL - MAKE DESIGN ON THE SHORTBREAD
  9. BAKE FOR 30-40 MINUTES IN PREHEATED OVEN AT 160 UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN ON TOP AND DEEP BROWN OVER EDGES
  10. SLICE SHORTBREAD WHILE STILL WARM. COOL COMPLETELY AND STORE IN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER. SERVE WITH TEA
